Allen Dwight Callahan is an independent scholar and conference speaker. He has taught biblical languages and literatures at the Harvard Divinity School, and has served as Associate Chaplain at Brown University and as Theologian in Residence at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. He is the author of three books and many scholarly articles, and has appeared as an expert commentator in documentaries aired on PBS, the History Channel, and the Discovery Channel.
